Today’s article showcases the best bidets on the market for elongated toilets. One of the most common questions folks have when researching modern electric bidets is which units would fit best with their current toilet and the round vs elongated distinction is one of the first things to consider.

Best Overall Bidets for Elongated Toilet

The TOTO C2 and C5

TOTO’s premier entry-level options are the C2 and C5. While their predecessors, the C100 and C200, were available in round and elongated, the C2 and C5 are meant specifically for elongated toilets and aren’t even available in round.

The main difference between the C2 and C5 is that the latter has a wireless remove while the former has a control panel fixed to the side of the bidet. The only other difference is that the C2 doesn’t let you save your preferred settings.

Other than that, the two bidets are identical.

With these two bidets, you have to make sure to get the correct version, since some of the versions are meant for TOTO toilets only.

Elongated Dimensions

The elongated versions measure 20.9” (length) by 5.8” high. The C5 is 15.1” wide while the side arm makes the C2 18.6” wide.

The sitting surface measured 14.5” (36.8cm) and bowl opening 11.8″ (30cm).

Pros

• TOTO’s most popular “affordable” options made specifically for elongated toilets.
• Best warm air dryers.

Cons

• Pricier than most bidets that fall into the entry-level to premium (mid-tier) categories.
• Tank type heater for limited warm water. The heater is supposed to keep the water from becoming cool after the tank runs empty, but I did not notice this effect when testing the bidets.
• The side panel version (the C2) doesn’t let you save your preferred settings.

Cleansing Performance

• Good cleansing performance. See this review for results.
• Default 1min spray session for both front and rear cleansing modes. It typically finishes the job in that time.
• Water flow rate of 0.27 to 0.43 L per minute.
• Both bidets have a single, plastic 2-in-1 nozzle for front and rear cleansing w/5 nozzle positions for aiming.

Warm Water

• Tank type heater for limited warm water. I tested the bidet on high (temp and pressure) and it ran at max temp for about 40 seconds before dropping to cool (79° F or 21.1° C).

Warm Air Dryer

• Warm air dryer w/multiple temperature settings.

User Presets (C5 Washlet Only)

• Two users can save their preferred settings for water pressure, water temperature, and nozzle position. For some reason, the C2 does not have this feature.

Air Deodorizer

• The C2 and C5 both have air deodorizers. A fan removes foul-smelling air from the bathroom, passing the air through a carbon filter that breaks down molecules that cause bad odors. There’s a normal mode and power mode. The normal mode kicks on when you sit and the power mode (stronger fan settings) turns on once you stand up.

Sanitation

• The C2/C5 nozzle self-cleans before and after each use and can be made to self-clean on-demand. The self-clean function uses EWATER+, a solution of electrolytes that forms sodium hypochlorite which then sanitizes the nozzle surfaces.
• PREMIST—both bidets pre-mist the bowl with EWATER+ when the user sits down. This creates a slippery surface making it harder for waste to adhere to the bowl. This makes the flushing action more effective in cleaning the toilet bowl and prevents buildup and staining on the toilet bowl surface.

The best bang for your buck, overall, is the Alpha JX. It’s a luxury-class bidet at an entry-level price. Basically, it provides the most important luxury features (e.g., instant/endless warm water and antimicrobial wand) at a reduced price by cutting out some of the lesser important features (air deodorizer, etc.).

While available for both elongated and round toilets, the JX is optimized for elongated toilets.

Cons:

• Lacks some of the lesser important luxury features like an air deodorizer and pulse mode.
• While the dryer performs above average, it doesn’t match that of TOTO bidets.

TOTO K300 Elongated Bidet Toilet Seat

The TOTO K300 is one of the best bidets on the market made exclusively for elongated toilets.

It’s much like the luxury S550e (further down) but without the nightlight or auto open and close seat/lid, which helps cut the price in half. Not bad.

The K300 measures 15.1” x 20.9” x 5.1”.

It has a sitting surface of 16” and a bowl opening of 11.5”.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• The K300 offers the most important features of the S550e (TOTO’s best bidet) at a price closer to that of the C5.
• One of the stronger warm air dryers in the lineup with an air volume of 10.24 ft3/min. (0.29 m3/min.).
• TOTO’s cheapest option with offering endless warm water.

Cons

• The K300 is the only luxury option without an in-bowl nightlight.

For a little more, you can get one of the all-time classics known as the Brondell SWASH 1400 (Amazon link). It’s available for elongated and round toilets. 

It’s the best brondell bidet. The S1400 offers a good bit more than the LE99 (and costs a good bit more). I’m not so sure it’s sufficiently better than the Alpha JX to warrant the extra price, but that depends on your preferences.

It has a tankless water heater for instant and endless warm water and dual self-sanitizing nozzles that self-rinse with a silver-containing solution (silver is naturally antimicrobial). It’s also the first bidet listed to have an air deodorizer.

Features and Specs 

Cleansing Performance: 

• The water pressure is adjustable to 3 strength levels
• It’s not the best in terms of water pressure, with a max output only reaching 0.13 gal (or ~0.5 L) per minute.
